First Food

Autumn started on solids this past week.  She doesn't seem all that interested, but is swallowing a good portion of it now.

My Mother

Here is a photo of my parents when my mom was pregnant with me, one of my favorite photos of her.  I can see the cheerful spirit and the sweetness in her heart.  She is still this way, even more so, I think.  She was young then.  Now, knowing more about the world and having experienced the same amount of life over again, she is still sweet and cheerful.  She is a true example to me, especially right now as I struggle to be cheerful and sweet, sometimes minute by minute. 

Thank you, Mom, for being such a great mom to me, April, Sandra and Ben.  Thank you for being a such a loving mother in law to our spouses and future spouses.  And thank you for being a dedicated grandmother to our children.  I love you more than I can say.
